With ongoing discussions about the world's climate change, it looks like this is just the right time to talk about solutions in the computer industry that have been designed to deliver a high-level of energy efficiency and features that protect the environment. In recent years, a number of steps have been taken in the computer technology to enable more powerful and power-efficient computers and computer-related products, with today's technology providing users with enhanced performance in more environmental-friendly packaging.
On that note, we start our review of BenQ's V2400 ECO LED monitor, a 24-inch LED-backlit alternative for computer users looking to step up the to new LED display technology. The V2400 ECO comes as our second encounter with a BenQ monitor, as we have already had some experience from our review of the
G2411HD. It's interesting to note that both have been featured wit 24-inch panels, which would suggest a pattern for the company's LCD portfolio. However, we can assure you that BenQ's line of LCD monitors covers a number of form factors.
The V2400 ECO LED was announced earlier this year, in mid-August, extending the company's ECO family of two new models, namely the aforementioned 24-inch solution and a 21.5-inch widescreen LED monitor, dubbed V2200. The two were claimed as the company's solutions for an industry that is looking to adopt a more eco-friendly design concept. Both the 24-inch and 21.5-inch models were featured with a number of technologies whose ultimate purpose is to provide consumers with high-performance and eco-friendly design.
Now, unlike the majority of LCD monitors currently available on the market, they catch your attention thanks to the adoption of a unique, all-white design. This is an interesting marketing choice on BenQ's part, as most LCD monitors available today have an all-black design. However, that is not the only interesting choice BenQ had for this monitor, as we will reveal its technical and design details later on in the review.
Without further ado, we shall get into the various bits and pieces of our review, as we will try to detail the monitor's features and specifications. We should also note that the V2400 comes from a different category altogether, when compared to the G2411HD we tested a while back.
