When it comes to furniture, us gadgeteer would all love to use the most technologically
advanced pieces out there. Simply because everything must have multiple functions that we can tweak all the time in order to make our lives easier. When quality design mixes with this type of furniture, there is always
a matter of price involved, which makes regular gadgeteers only drool over certain products out there.
Like two new products from Berkline, namely the Laptop
Recliner and the new Concert Series high tech chairs. The Laptop Recliner is mildly advanced in technological terms, its design being based around the concept of comfort in the first place.
It has a storage compartment in the arm, which can house all sorts of modern day gadgets, like a laptop or e-book reader. From what I understand from
Electronichouse, the swivel platform you can see in the picture is optional. That practically turns the whole Laptop Chair into a small working desk.
The Berkline Concert Series is not new, which makes me think some of you might already know about the music playing capabilities of the chairs belonging to this series.
There are now fresh models of chairs though, which come with added features that make them seem like the complete resting/working/entertainment gadget. Entertaining because of the 2.1 audio system they integrate, resting because of the design and quality materials used in building them, and working because now the chairs come with a wireless charging station embedded in them.
This tech is called eCoupled and it is optional for Berkline customers. The eCoupled charging station is developed by Fulton Innovation and can charge laptops, Apple products, cell phones and other gadgets. Multiple devices can be charged at the same time. The price for a Concert Series chair is of $699 and that of a Laptop Recliner is of $649. Also, you can read more about them on
Bornrich.
