There are certain situations in life when you simply wish you had a speaker available at hand. For example, when going out with some friends on a picnic, some of your favorite music played out loud might be the start of a very cool party. However, in general, speakers tend to be a bit on the heavy side and not really easy to cram up in one's backpack, but that's not at all the case with the BSP-S20K speakers presented by Japanese company Bluedot, since these things are among the flattest such products to have reached the market.
So, as you can plainly see from the photos, the main selling point of Bluedot's BSP-S20K portable speakers is represented by their ultra-thin form factor, since they thickness is of just 19 mm. However, don't imagine the other dimensions to be very different, given the fact that the Bluedot speaker measures around 155 mm in length and 125 mm in height.
Now, while the external design might have an important influence on a customer's purchase decision, the quality of the audio the speaker outputs is also very important. However, one shouldn't expect Bluedot's BSP-S20K to deliver the same amount of thump that larger devices of this type do, given the fact that it only provides 2W of audio via its two channels.
It's also important to mention the fact that the Bluedot speaker is powered by 3 x AAA alkaline batteries, which grant it around five hours of non-stop operation. Plus, the device is compatible with a very wide array of audio sources, given the fact that it comes equipped with a 50-cm cable that ends with a 3.5-mm stereo plug jack.
The Bluedot BSP-S20K ultra-flat speaker is available for the time being just on the
Japanese market (or at certain select exporters) and sells for around 56 US dollars, which, by all accounts, is not even that high a price point, given this thing's level of portability.
