Ok, so you are not a hacker, you have no idea what Linux means and whenever you see a blue screen on your PC, you immediately call technical support and prefer to wait for a few hours on the phone before you learn that a simple reboot was enough to fix your problem. Not to mention that time when you managed to stick a USB cable in the Ethernet port. I am talking from experience here, just so nay-sayers know.

In this case, you have to buy certain devices that hackers develop, especially for those of you who are not even able to crack a joke related to computers. For instance, this iDongle here that was built especially for those of you that “accidentally” bought a jailbroken iPhone. You probably know about Apple's way of doing business and the fact that whenever they release an update, the jailbroken iPhones will freeze on the iTunes logo.

This is where the iDongle comes in and instantly (and by instantly, I mean in a minute or so) will reboot the iPhone's operating senses. It is designed for the 3.1.2 devices and it is a simple solution to a common problem.

This dongle is truly worthy of the plug and play middle name, which offers tethered boot to any iPhone 3GS made after week 40 (2009), or iPod touch 2G and 3G, if they are running on the OS 3.1, 3.1.1 or 3.1.2 versions. However, the iDongle is recommended for usage with the 3.1.2 version.

If you want one, you will have to go to myboyfriendisageek. I recommend you hurry up because the number of working products of this kind is limited to about a dozen. The models available now will not work with version 3.1.3, but Renaud says there will be free updates posted on the website that will activate even the iPhones running on 3.1.3.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
