More and more pieces of proof of the world having gone crazy appear in the media, shocking us that dumb violent actions can't be prevented or stopped until it's too late. One of the latest shocking event involves a British 13-year-old student, who not only managed to smuggle an illegal stun gun into the country, after having bought it in a vacation in Bulgaria, but he also managed to bring it to school, without anyone suspecting anything, and electrocuted three of his classmates.
It's kind of a scary story, since the "stun gun" could have all too easily been replaced with a "real gun," and the results would have been a lot worse. This particular gun is not very dangerous, certainly not strong enough to kill anybody, but he probably didn't know that. The kid apparently "feels sorry" for acting like a criminal.
The 13-year-old bought the gun for about $20 while on vacation in Bulgaria and smuggled it (capable of up to 30,000 volts) into school. He zapped three of his classmates, apparently not realizing that assault with a weapon is actually against the law, and was arrested shortly thereafter.
“He whipped out the stun gun and started chasing people around. He and his friends were passing it around and the other kids were screaming,” a witness said. “When it hit someone they would drop to the ground, but he would keep on chasing,” the same witness added.
The mayhem on the school's playing fields was halted when other worried youngsters alerted staff who confiscated the stun gun and called the police. No one was seriously injured.
“Parents need to be aware that we will take strong action against pupils who behave in such potentially dangerous ways, and they clearly need to keep an eye on what their children are buying as souvenirs,” said the assistant head teacher.
