It's difficult to keep track of a child's every move, especially in crowded places, where they seem to have an even greater boost of energy, seemingly to spite you. But there's no need to keep your offspring close to you, like a dog on a leash, not anymore, thanks to the NuM8 GPS Child Tracking Watch, unveiled at CES this year.
This pretty-looking device will help you monitor your children without them even knowing it, as for them the NuM8 doesn't look like a GPS tracking device at all, but rather like a cool digital watch. If you know you have to deal with frisky children, then this is the perfect solution for you, and maybe the only one acceptable for them too, as there won't be any rebellion involved, since they won't even know the real purpose of this gadget.
The entire functioning principle of this GPS watch is rather simple. Thus, you can set safe zones that automatically alert you if the children move a set distance from their current location. You needn't worry that you won't be able to find them in a crowd, as you also have the option to instantly find the location of your kids by checking a website or texting the makers of the service.
Another great feature is that if the watch is being taken off your child's wrist, an alarm can be set to go off so that you can react immediately if someone tries to take the NuM8 off your child's wrist or if it just accidentally falls off.
NU.M8 will be available in the UK in March and in USA by late spring, so you'll have to wait just a little bit longer to get your hands on it. It retails for about $218, plus a monthly subscription charge, which depends on the tariff you choose.
