With a focus on the development of breakthrough consumer robotic and electronic products, WowWee has been forging new categories in personal robotics and entertainment with award-winning products that are imaginative and inventive for quite some time now, and doesn't plan to stop anytime soon.
2009 is definitely going to be busy for the company, as its objectives are to launch various high-end products, from many lines, including WowWee Alive. Being showed for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, the aforementioned product line will get a bit larger, as it will welcome four new members, the WowWee Alive Seal Pup, Husky Puppy, Koala Joey, and Leopard Cub.
Each of the four Alive toys will feature animated facial and vocal expressions triggered by users' touch, and to make the whole thing all the more realistic, they will be accompanied by adoption papers and a family portrait.
But this is not all, because, even though the Seal Pup, Husky Puppy, Koala Joey, and Leopard Cub are the most talked about additions to the line, the WowWee Alive family is going to be even greater, as there will also be Mini Alive Cubs joining in, featuring touch and tilt sensors and sounds like snoring and gurgling (to indicate the cub's moods) and a feeding bottle that they can sense.
Also, kids will have the chance to fall asleep holding their favorite “pajama pets,” the WowWee Alive Sleeping Cuties, adorable snoozing companions that move and curl up into the perfect sleeping position when you pet them. To be sure that you have a peaceful sleep, they also make gentle sounds of slumber to help lull you to sleep. They will be available in four versions: Labradoodle Puppy, Beagle Puppy, Cinnamon Persian Kitten, and White Persian Kitten. No word on the price or availability just yet though.
