Now, here's a product that was launched right there at CeBIT, where Alex was around and got to take a look at, and snap some pictures, namely the CM Storm Inferno gaming mouse.
The most differential thing about this gaming mouse is that,
compared to other gaming mice that are quite heavy, the CM Storm Inferno is very, very lightweight, with a way too lightweight mentioned between parentheses by Alex. Also, the texture and the finishing on it are excellent, composed of a rubber grip, ABS plastic and a mesh bezel.
First, lightweightness is probably the feature many are going to blame, and I can relate to that myself, as I always could work post-processing with a gaming mouse, and mighty accurate, I might say, especially because of the weight of such a peripheral. Maybe, just maybe, this is one of those types of gaming mice that add balance only with weights, but that's just speculation for the moment.
Nevertheless, I really like the shape of this mouse, even though that shiny finish looks like the kind that would come off in time. I like the buttons even more, as the CM Storm Inferno sports 11 programmable keys, which I could seamlessly integrate into Photoshop. Getting to the craved tech specs, the mouse embeds
a 4,000 DPI sensor and has an independent and programmable X & Y axis configuration.
On board memory of 128KB is more than enough to store various presets and key configurations for allowing customers to take advantage of their own home-developed architecture while enjoying the Storm Inferno's 60 - 100 IPS maximum tracking speed. It also has a built-in red illumination controlled by IC for lighting effects. Last but not least important feature is the right handed form factor, which is one of the first things to consider, come to think about it.
