CTA Digital is a company renowned for
their Wii accessories and this time, they are announcing another one designed especially for kids. In partnership with the Kids Are Heroes nonprofit organization, they will be delivering the Inflatable Race Kart for Wii to fun loving, race games enthusiast kids in America.
E3 Expo 2010 will be the place where this new Wii accessory will be demoed by the ambassador of the Kids Are Heroes organization,
8-year-old Ricky Springer. Ricky races karts in order to raise money and awareness about his chronic disease, Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorder.
Both companies involved in this project hope to raise awareness about the affliction mentioned, with a fun and enjoyable replica of a racing kart that fits in every living room. At the E3 booth, visitors will be able to meet Ricky and also learn more about how to get involved in this matter, in order to help other kids suffering from this disease have a better life.
"I smile when I think of the wonder in his eyes as he enters the expo seeing all the huge displays and new devices,” said Gabe O’Neill, Co-Founder of
Kids Are Heroes. “Knowing how much he has suffered in his life at such a young age, I am excited to hear about all the fun he will have, being the star of the show demonstrating CTA’s latest technologies."
The CTA Digital Inflatable Racing Kart for Wii is a stationary kart with a built-in hard plastic steering wheel, which houses the Wiimote. Just in case there are adults interested in giving the kart a go as well, let me tell you that it supports up to 300 lbs. The Nitro, Undercover and Pro Street versions of the Need for Speed title are supported by this, as well many other Wii racing/driving games. It is available on Amazon for $39.99.
