A lot of this type of products have shown up recently and we all know why, but how do you know which one is the right choice
for you and your iPad?. Case-mate is bringing three new models on the market, just to get you confused a little bit more. The Walkabout, the Express and the Traveler are the
cases in question and they are now in stock on Case-mate's official website.
"Case-mate strives to create cutting-edge accessories and cases for today's most popular mobile devices," said Shashi Reddy, founder and CEO of case-mate. "The iPad is one of the most talked about gadgets of 2010 and we're excited to be launching a series of fashion-forward and stylistically diverse cases to safeguard it during and between use.”
These three sleeves right here look good, I can tell you that and you can also convince yourself from the pictures. They have a professional, simple aspect, with extended uses for carrying some credit cards or
other supplies. The Traveler and the Walkabout provide such opportunities and as you can see from the picture, you will have no problems taking the Traveler with you to any business meeting.
But enough about you, let's talk about the iPad. What I don't understand from the Case-mate website is the level of protection that the three cases really offer for your iPad. In all three cases, the only thing the producers say is that they offer “some protection”, in case anything falls on the cased iPad or if it is accidentally dropped. Also, the access to any external ports that the iPad might is restricted while the device from Apple is inside these cases. Not to mention that screen protection is not provided.
This doesn't necessarily aid the marketing department of Case-mate in my opinion, but you can find all the other “spicy” details regarding these three new protective cases on their website. The Walkabout is the most expensive of them all, with a $80 USD price tag, the Traveler is valued at $49.99, while the ballistic nylon Express case is the most affordable at $34.99.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
