Told you guys that I was going to keep close to the Asus booth, or at least to what Alex has been getting his hands on, so the next product is none other than the NX90 Notebook. As nice as this portable computer looks, little did I know that it's actually marvelous and the result of a beautiful collaboration. I should be ashamed of myself for not having noticed
Bang & Olufsen's typical elegant design, as it still keeps a small idea of industrial design in that aluminum chassis.
We all know that audio in portable computers was always a compromise, besides some not that portable full-sized laptops, so that's one of the reasons Asus took responsibility, and along with the engineers from Bang & Olufsen came up with the Asus SonicMaster, built with the latter's ICEpower that completely redefines standards to what regards notebook audio quality. You can see the design for yourselves, and this, my friends, needs no further description.
Getting to the technical details again, the NX90 sports tower speakers that hug the screen, delivering impressive sound. That, and combined with the dual touchpads and the Rotation Desktop interface,
allows customers to have an accuracy close to that of a DJ.
As for the processor, the Asus NX90 packs a choice of Intel's latest Core i3, i5 and i7. Just as if the company responded to the customers that had portable drives and waited for eons to copy content from, Asus has embedded USB 3.0 on the NX90 notebook.
Now, users can keep playing music and videos, without having to pause or interrupt playback when copying new media, especially thanks to the versatile Rotation Desktop interface that makes managing and enjoyment of media easy, interactive and seamless. My two cents - hope I will get the chance to point my ears at this.
