Now, here's something that will probably get so trendy among filthy rich and spoiled children that even the law will be ashamed to use it anymore. From what I first thought when seeing the picture to the left, I thought the HT4Sight is a service
only available for the kind of agencies that do not even officially exist. What I read following just made me think that the world is really coming to an end. I mean, just what utility could the HT4Sight have to common people?
I know, seeing if the cat is stuck on a roof (hopefully, a sky scrapper), or check if your friends are already at the beach. Sounds good so far, doesn't it? As much as I feel amused making fun of that, I fear these will really get common with people that have deep enough pockets. The service is provided by Helinet Aviation, and is capable of allowing anyone to route video signals from UAVs or virtually any aerial surveillance craft or satellite to any mobile phone around the world, using encrypted data signal.
The signal is streamed down in real time to a command center that compresses, encrypts and sends the video to any cellular, Wi-Fi or satellite network. Even worse, leaving the spoiled children aside, this seems disastrous, as I see too many "any" words (anyone, anywhere, any) that make me think
the system could also be used by terrorists to find feedback on planned attack sites.
Brilliant, Helinet Aviation provides premium helicopter service for multiple markets nationwide, so I don't see any problem with terrorist networks taking advantage of this service that is available for anyone that has the cash for it. Even better (and hope you can feel the irony and sarcasm), the subscribers to this service will even have a more secure system than the US military's drones.
