So, how much do you think a kid goes for these days? In dollars, please, or Euros if you don't like the US currency! Don't know?
You find the notion of selling a baby to be repulsive? I totally agree, but should you wish to find the answer to this question, you can ask a couple from China who sold their baby boy for about 366 United States Dollars (2,500 yuan actually) and used the money to... buy a phone. Yup, they sold the kid to get a mobile phone.
It seems that the young, unmarried couple decided that seeing how they didn't have the means to raise the child, they should just as well get something out of it and sell him to a complete stranger. It didn't take too long for them to have regrets, it seems, and now they are attempting to take their child back especially since the person who made the acquisition somehow raised the authorities' suspicion and now he is being taken care of by a welfare center.
Seriously now, a person who buys a kid for 366 USD, raising the suspicion of local authorities? Go figure! I am curious though... should the young couple get their kid back (thought I seriously doubt they will), will they return the phone or keep it? Why do I seriously doubt that the couple will be able to get the kid back? Because, my friends, no matter what society you live in... if two parents sell their kid so as to get a mobile device instead,
they cannot be considered parents.
Who’s to stop them from doing the same if they consider they want a laptop? I wonder what happened to morals, common sense... what happened to love? What a sick world we live in, ladies and gents.
