The VeinViewer medical apparatus was initially launched in 2006 by Christie Medical Holdings and it has now reached its third generation, the company distributing it in more than 40 countries. This new model here is called the VeinViewer Vision and promises enhanced performances while maintaining the same non-intrusive profile, which aids clinicians perform better during various
vein puncturing procedures.
“Our third generation VeinViewer is a testament to carefully listening to the demands of our global customer base,” said George Pinho, President of Christie Medical Holdings. “We have enhanced everything that makes us the market leader and met every customer request head-on. Vision will continue the VeinViewer tradition of helping clinicians improve venipuncture procedures and patient comfort, while the facilities in which they work receive the benefit of reduced costs, time and unnecessary procedures.”
Like the previous models of VeinViewers, the latest one, called Vision, uses the same near-infrared light and other patented
technologies to project a digital image of patine vasculature directly onto the surface of the
skin in real time. So, whether we are talking about a banal IV insertion or other vein puncturing medical procedures, this medical gadget seems like an essential tool for any clinician. The VeinViewer Vision has a more compact shape than its predecessors and can fit into the user's hand. Its mobile cart base is also smaller and easier to transport around a hospital, plus it allows medical staff to use both hands instead of keeping one on the base of the VeinViewer.
Christie Medical Holdings has equipped the latest VeinViewer Vision with new tech that provides an improved depth of focus and even promises more autonomy, whenever used in the cordless mode. The imaging suite the Vision uses is an exclusive ASSESS one and has four distinct modes, namely enhanced universal, fine detail, inverse and resize.
