Fixed phone sets are in danger of extinction nowadays, mostly because of their mobile cousins that have become really powerful tools the modern man can't live without. Because these can be laptop-like machines, we often forget about the phone at home, which is probably gathering dust in the same place you put it when you first bought it.
Though some people still use them quite often because of the
advantages fixed networks have over
the more costly mobile ones, there is a drop in popularity regarding the “parents” of the mobile phone. Still, some manufacturers are trying to give them multiple functions so that they become a little more popular with the ever-moving humans.
I can't say whether this new cordless model from Sharp is going to save the
DECT species from extinction, but it does offer an extra usage that will probably make you remember the phone at home more often. This new JD-4C1CL/CW is next in line after the popular model that Sharp launched in September last year, the JD-7C1CL.
More pleasing to the eye of the user, this cordless phone offers a 4.3-inch photo frame, which also integrates a Calendar and Clock function. The design is improved and although it doesn't have its predecessor's 7-inch screen photo frame, the Photo Book function has been preserved. What this feature does is save contacts with their picture in the phone's memory. It comes in a variety of colors so that it matches the interior design of the user's room and will not use as much space as the previous 7 incher.
So, this is not your usual cordless phone, with an integrated solution for storing the digital memories of the modern day user, while still allowing them to benefit from traditional calls via fixed networks. The fresh JD-4C1Cl/CW will be marketed throughout Japan during April.
