Although this is often overlooked, choosing the right power supply is one of the most important decisions you make when it comes down to building a custom PC, since this can mean the difference between success and failure, Corsair's Gaming Series line certainly being one of the better options available right now.

Coming in with 600W, 700W, and 800W power ratings, Corsair's new power supplies pack a single 12V rail in order to provide enough juice even for the most power hungry graphics cards available, the top of the line 800W being rated at no less then 65A on the 12V rail.

All the models are 80 PLUS certified to deliver 80% efficiency or higher at normal load conditions while also coming with a temperature adjusting dual ball-bearing fan that should provide quiet operation, modders certainly being glad to find out the fan blades can be illuminated blue, red, or white, depending on your preference, or turned off completely.

"The matte black finish and illuminated fans make the Gaming Series PSUs the ideal complement for your gaming rig," stated Ruben Mookerjee, VP and General Manager of Components at Corsair.

"Whether you choose the 600, 700, or 800 watt model, you'll have the clean, efficient power to create the best gaming PC — yours."

The Corsair Gaming Series GS800 is available for a recommended retail price of $119.99 while the GS700 and GS600 have suggested prices of $109.99 and $99.99, respectively.
