Creative Technology Ltd. recently announced the Creative Inspire S2 Wireless. It is a compact speaker system that provides users with wireless music freedom for the new generation of compact notebooks, PCs or various other mobile devices with wireless music playback streaming.
The devices must support wireless music playback that can send a signal to the built-in wireless receiver of the Inspire S2, or any netbook or PC with a USB port via a plug and play USB Bluetooth transmitter, as well as compliant with other Bluetooth enabled devices, within a maximum 10-meter range. The Bluetooth protocols that the Inspire S2 is able to receive are the standard A2DP,
known as Stereo Bluetooth and AVRCP.
Via the apt-X technology, the high-performance audio codec from APTX, the Creative Inspire S2 speaker system will stream stereo Bluetooth with the minimum possible delay, as well as an impressive sound quality for the size given - 7.4 x 7.3 x 10.3cm satellite. The compact size does not diminish by any means sound or component quality, the system standing up to the expectation of discerning users, at the same time blending seamlessly within any environment and
filling it with rich sound.
Frequency response ranges between 40 and 20,000Hz with an overall signal to noise ratio of 75dB, while speaker power is rated at 7 watts RMS per satellite and 19 watts RMS for the subwoofer. Satellite speakers embed dynamic 2" drivers that emit mid-bass, while the Direct-Throw subwoofer brings music to feeling level.
Additional features include the digital volume control, placed on the right satellite speaker, as well as AUX-in line for connecting a netbook, laptop, MP3 player. The Creative Inspire S2 is already available for purchase, from the online official Creative store for a price of $149.99.
