Cydle, one of the emerging so-called leaders in the car-based multimedia systems market, and one of
South Korea's largest electronics manufacturers, has just announced that it will launch a wide range of products at the 2010 International CES, also including the world's first portable GPS that features built-in HD Radio and free HD live traffic updates.
“The car should be
a haven,” said Woody Lee, U.S. director of sales, Cydle. “Whether a driver needs accurate traffic information and alternate routes to get somewhere on time, wants to watch a video of his or her family while on a business trip, or simply wants to enjoy a favorite tune. We provide all of that, at the highest quality, from a single device.”
Cydle's line of wireless digital devices come to provide the customers with seamless integration of capabilities that combine navigation with entertainment, included with GPS, Live HD traffic updates, HD Radio, rich multimedia content, Bluetooth, WiFi, black box, mobile TV technology and more. The company did announce that by January 7, the following products are ready to launching at CES in Las Vegas, namely the GPS with HD Traffic update, the BX1 black box for cars and the M7 mobile internet gadget.
Main focus seems to be on the T43H GPS with free HD Traffic update, which comes with a new technology that is capable of delivering live traffic updates up to ten times faster than competitors (that would actually get close enough to real time, and would benefit the whole city traffic, given many drivers will buy this). This is actually the first in the world GPS navigation system with built-in HD radio that also includes HD traffic for free. The pricing, according to third-party online retailers, seems to be at $249.00.
