Pretty much the whole world is eagerly waiting for January 27 to come sooner, as that will be the day when mighty
Apple unleashes its already famous Internet tablet onto the world. However, up until then, we're seeing a lot of tablets arrive on the market, most of which originate in the great land of China, some of them actually offering users a very, very interesting set of features.
And this is exactly the case with the Cynovo C7 tablet, which surfaced at CES 2010, at least according to what our colleagues from
Cloned in China have to say on the subject. Apparently, this thing is the work of one of the many consumer electronics manufacturers from the province of Suzhou, China, and is developed with some hints and cues from mighty Intel itself.
Anyway, moving to the point, the
tablet is apparently capable of running Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 7, including its extensive support for touchscreen devices. And that's because this tablet comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display, which should prove to be enough for most people's Internet browsing needs.
As mentioned above, this
thing has some pretty serious support from Intel, and that's because it's built around a 1.33GHZ Atom Z520 processor, accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 32GB hard drive, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a built-in GPS. The Cynovo C7 will require some effort in order to carry around, since it weighs around 500 grams.
Now, it remains to be seen whether a product of this type will manage to go up against Apple's mighty marketing machine, but with some help from some of the most important consumer electronics brands around, that might be the case. I mean, Windows 7 or Android-running tablets seem to be the only serious alternatives to what the company from Cupertino will have to offer, don't they?
