Given the absolutely huge level of popularity enjoyed by Apple's iPods in pretty much every corner of the known universe (well, at least planet Earth, since it's not very likely that the Cupertino-based company is shipping these players into outer space... but one can never know for sure), it's quite normal for a very, very large number of manufacturers to come up with dedicated products and accessories, whose only purpose is to enhance/improve one of these players’ functions.

DLO (Digital Lifestyle Outfitters) is what we can call a traditional manufacturer of various accessories for the iPod, regardless of the model we're talking about. And since there are already quite a few audio device manufacturers that have announced the fact that they would produce headphones designed specifically for the latest iPod shuffle, the 3rd generation model, DLO has chosen another path, and launched the Action Jacket.

According to the manufacturer, the Action Jacket for the new 3rd generation iPod shuffle is “the easiest and most secure way to workout with your shuffle.” It's been designed specifically in order to provide an enhanced level of freedom for one's workouts, while allowing the respective person to safely store the Apple player.

The company also points out the fact that the padded neoprene case features a handy front panel that can be used for simple headphone cord management, or allow you to clip your shuffle securely on the outside while using the pocket to hold your keys.

Since iPods are among the most expensive players you'll find out there, pretty much the same goes for the accessories designed for them. To some extent, that's also the case with the Action Jacket from DLO, which sells for around 20 US dollars, a price point many people might find low enough, but which should have been just a tad lower in order to ensure instant success.
