Well... its an emergency lamp!

Remember what I said in previous articles about LED technology and the fact that it was slowly replacing more common lighting technologies (aka bulbs)? Well, here's another gadget that is now using LED technology and is pretty handy too! The Sentina LED Emergency Light promises not only to be the most efficient emergency light solution on the market but also an elegant combination of four lights altogether.

Meant for all those consumers that try to save a buck every time that it is possible, the new Sentina LED-92M has motion, darkness, as well as power motion sensors. All you need to do is plug it into any standard AC outlet and... well... use it! How do the sensors work? The upper light only activates when it senses movement or during a power outage. It will also perform as an emergency flash light that is said to last about eight hours. You can take it out of the socket, of course.

If there's a place where you're thinking to install the Sentina LED-92M emergency light, then it will go there, no questions asked. It can be used in kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, space shuttles, alien cargo ships or on the Enterprise (OK, I am exaggerating a bit to show how versatile the Sentina LED-92M is). Sure, you might never use it and your mobile phone probably does the same things, seeing how you're already taking it with you everywhere you go, but can you resist the “Hey, I could really use this thing” feeling?

The Sentina LED-92M is priced at about 30 USD. I have to say it looks pretty OK and combined with the fact that it is also multifunctional... well, I think it is a worthy buy, if you're the type of guy (I can't imagine a girl being interested in it) that likes Tim Taylor-type DYI-ing in his garage.
