Versatility is one of the most important features in the case of any projector, but it's vital in the case of business-oriented solutions, given the fact that they must be able to adapt to a wide array of situations (especially the portable ones). For this reason, Dell has made a very interesting move with its latest 4210X projector, as this device comes equipped with no less than two VGA interfaces, plus an HDMI connector on the side.
So, according to the manufacturer, the Dell 4210X projector was designed to promote easy connectivity. An HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connector provides fast access to content on a variety of devices, while the RJ45 connection will allow users to easily access the device via the company LAN and utilize network management control.
Since it sports dual VGA connections, two presenters can be connected at the same time, thus making it easy to transition from one presenter to another, reducing delays between presentations and promoting real-time collaboration. Other connectivity options include S-Video, Composite Video and audio interfaces (as the device also comes equipped with its own, built-in speakers).
Now, let's take a very quick look at the video projection-related features this thing has to offer. Hence, we're talking about maximum resolutions of 1024x768 pixels, a brightness level of 3500 ANSI lumens, plus a 2000:1 typical contrast ratio. The device features an F/ 2.4~2.66 projection lens (f=18.2~21.8 mm) with 1.2X manual zoom, as well as a throw ratio of 1.6~1.92. The size of the image it generates ranges between 30 and 307 inches (diagonal), while the projection distance ranges between 3.94 and 32.81 ft (1.2 m~10 m).
Dell's new projector also delivers a couple of useful security features, such as password protection and a security cable slot (Kensington slot). These features can really come in handy, especially since this projector is designed to be moved between locations (with its size, of 286 mm x 110 mm x 247.8 mm and weight, of 2.88 kg - 6.35 lbs) being the best pieces of proof.
The Dell 4210X DLP projector has an estimated retail price of around 1,100 US dollars, which is the usual price range we've come to expect from products of this type.
