Only recently could we see one of the best portable charging solutions being developed and there is a new contender announced for this position, namely Digipower's JumpStart Dual AC Adapter. This one is a portable device indeed, as it integrates a rechargeable battery, for obvious emergency situations and offers its charging powers to two USB-powered (5V) devices at once.

"JumpStart Dual combines power and innovation in one portable solution and that's the philosophy that drives our entire product development program," asserted DIGIPOWER President Maurice Mizrahi. "There is no other portable power device currently on the market that combines an AC adapter with a built-in rechargeable battery back-up. JumpStart Dual is designed to meet all of the power requirements of today's power hungry consumers."

Yes, there is no other solution of this particular kind out there and Digipower's new invention is also available right now, for all the gadgeteers out there currently on the “power” drug. The rechargeable battery is a 1,700 mAh one, with a somewhat impressive lifetime of over 500 charges. It is also covered by a full one-year warranty. However, it doesn't come with any special adapters for micro-USB or mini-USB, so if you purchase it, you'd better have a serious collection of USB rechargeable gadgets, or some of the adapters mentioned above at home.

Since it is a power solution designed to be used with AC outlets, the JumStart Dual comes with several protection technologies that will keep any device connected to it safe from short circuits, over charges and extreme temperature.

Other eye-catching technologies the Digipower JumpStart Dual USB AC Adapter comes with are the emergency flashlight, which you'll most likely never use, and the folding plugs that are going to add a little extra to your comfort, while packing it for the next road trip. It costs $49.99 and you can find out more about it on engadget.
