Electrolux is known worldwide for its high-quality home appliances and even for its inclination towards eco-friendliness, but it seems that the Swedish manufacturer had ambitions higher than that. You see, Electrolux doesn't want to be environmentally friendly, but rather eco-best-friendly. At least, that is what you get of the manufacturer's efforts to launch the greenest cleaner on the market.
Made of 55% recycled plastic, the Ultra Silencer Green from Electrolux is the most energy-efficient cleaner on the market. Even more, its new, high-efficiency motor reduces the Ultra Silencer’s energy consumption by 33% compared to a standard 2,000 watt vacuum cleaner. Because Ultra Silencer Green is made of recycled materials, it is only available in black, as this color allows achieving the best looking finish and quality when using recycled materials. To signify the eco-friendliness of the green vacuum cleaner, Electrolux designers added signature elements of green on the graphics and buttons.
However, if looks are what matters most to you, the Ultra Silencer vacuum cleaner is also available in red and white finishes, although you’ll have to sacrifice some of its eco-friendly credentials, as the other versions are not made of recycled materials, so they're not as green as the black version.
Responding to the recent surveys that show a clear reference for more energy efficient appliances, Electrolux outfitted the Ultra Silencer Green with a new, energy efficient 1,250 watt motor that delivers top notch cleaning, thanks to a newly designed nozzle. Like all Ultra Silencer models, the Ultra Silencer Green emits only 71 dB, compared to the average vacuum cleaner’s 78 dB and offers ergonomic features designed to make vacuuming easier.
The Ultra Silencer Green vacuum cleaner weighs under 5.5 kilograms and is very easy to clean. Unfortunately, the manufacturer didn't give out any information regarding the device’s price and availability.
