If over to the Dutch market, Eminent had been cherishing people's hearts and ears with their quality audio and video, it was quite about time for the company to bring their media player/streamer to the UK as well. Now, the people of the United Kingdom will benefit from the capabilities of the EM7080 hdMEDIA RT,
including its ability to smoothly playback HD video content from a built-in hard disk drive, or just stream it via wired LAN.
The maker can add N USB adapter, namely their own EM4576, for enabling customers to hook up cable-free. Standard, the player doesn't ship with an included HDD, so you'll have to add that separately, but do mind that the player supports internal drives of up to 1.5TB in capacity. If it happens to run out of space even so, Eminent has installed two USB 2.0 ports on the front of the player, so you only have to insert adequate USB-enabled storage.
There's a wide array of file formats supported, streamed and played directly, including the HD formats MKV and x.264 popular with the filesharing communities. Now, this is great news for many of you, as the Eminent EM7080 even packs a BitTorrent client for the likes of you that are inclined. Like that's not enough, then let me just mention one more thing, namely the complete support for Blu-ray ISO files, which takes its desirability to higher horizons,
as we aren't satisfied anymore with mere 720p, and we all need Blu-ray Full HD and all that jazz.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the technological advancements, and am pro-emancipation, but we're taking it a little too fast and we put our tongues in the cheek when we see DivX-compressed movies that not long ago we were desperately scouting for. Best news for last, the Eminent EM7080 hdMEDIA RT media player has a small price of just $189.64.
