Without a doubt, Energizer has had a major contribution to the history of batteries and other portable power sources, being one of the earliest innovators in this field. Now, the company is back with a whole new line of devices designed specifically for the users of various portable gadgets, rounded up under the Energizer Energi To Go brand.
Hence, according to Energizer, its Energi To Go line, which currently features the Energi To Go Portable Power for Cell Phones, will be seriously expanded in the near future to include rechargeable power packs that use lithium polymer battery technology to power a wide variety of mobile electronic devices including cell phones and smartphones, iPhone, iPod and MP3 players, GPS units, digital cameras and camcorders, netbooks and laptops.
One of the most important parts of the Energi To Go line is the Energi To Go XP, a line of portable power systems that includes seven products ranging in size and power from a 600 mAh wallet-sized charger for cell phones to a 18,000 mAh charger that can power up to three devices at once, including a laptop computer.
Other important new products from Energizer are the Energi To Go AP chargers, designed to mimic the shape and styling of the iPhone, giving users up to double the life provided by the normal battery, as well as the Energi To Go SP solar-driven power packs, which will be available in 1000 mAh and 2000 mAh options.
"Our goal is to make consumers' lives easier by giving them the power that they need, when and how they need it," said Jeff Ziminski, Chief Marketing Officer, Energizer. "Our newest Energi To Go products use the latest rechargeable charging technology to help people - and their high drain gadgets - Keep Going." No info on just how high their price points will be going, though.
