Not the first lighting solution seen here
introduced for the first time to the public at the LightFair International 2010, the Essentia from BetaLED is an architectural downlight that you will most likely see in theater halls or high-end, enormous houses. Of course, it allows for large scale energy savings, as LED technology will not be as power draining as the lights used today in public spaces.
“We merged our best practices in renowned BetaLED product benefits with years of innovation from our Kramer interior luminaires to develop the best and most complete line of interior
LED luminaires,” said Christopher Ruud, president of Ruud Lighting. “The Essentia product brings to market what customers want out of an ideal interior LED light source. Essentia delivers advantages that we haven’t seen offered in the commercial industry.”
Ruud Lighting's BetaLED division has built more than one model of Essentia LED-based lights and they will all be presented at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where the LightFair International event is held.
Some of the features of these new products under the BetaLED brand are their 1,200 to 5,000 lumen light outputs, the fact that they are cut off at 45 degrees and, of course, the standard lifetime expectancy of 50,000 hours we know LEDs provide. They can come in narrow, medium or wide distribution patterns. I see no pricing information, as the manufacturers probably expect users interested in their products to go to Vegas in order to learn more.
This fresh Essentia series of LED lighting solutions comes to complement the wide array of similar products that we have seen announced in abundance over the last year. This tech is no longer new and when the national regulations
for energy saving start being applied in 2012, I'm sure LED lights will be well spread throughout America.
