Even Your Gadgets Need Their Morning Coffee

You wake up in the morning and you realize that you're late to work (once again). You hurry about the house, pick up all your stuff and then jump in the car. Then, you stop by the nearest drive-in to pick up a strong, black coffee, which will help you “get a grip on reality” before you actually arrive at work. Suddenly, though, one of your many gadgets starts beeping... battery's about to die. What is there to be done?

Well, fortunately, you might be in luck, because, similar to the manner in which you “energize” yourself in the morning (with coffee), your gadgets can also get their “fix” of power via a device that is remarkably similar to the coffee cups you get from the drive-in.

Dubbed the Coffee Cup Power Inverter, this thing (presented by ThinkGeek) is capable of converting DC power into two 120-volt AC outlets, which makes it a very good choice for powering or charging a wide array of TVs, DVD players, game consoles, cell phones, and other portable electronics. Moreover, since a lot of devices available on the market nowadays use the USB port to recharge their batteries, the converter also has a USB charging port, providing 500mA of power.

Without a doubt, the form factor represents the main selling point of the Coffee Cup Power Inverter, since this thing can be very easily installed in any auto/boat/truck cup holder, which helps it stay in one place, even when you're crossing rough terrain. Additionally, the device will also take good care of the devices it's charging (up to 3 at a time), since it sports an overload protection and low battery shut-off.

The Coffee Cup Power Inverter is a fairly affordable product, since it sells for just around 30 US dollars, which is, after all, a relatively small sum to pay for such a useful device.
