Don't know how many gadget geeks out there are swimming fans but for those of you that are this may as well be the ultimate gadget, the Swimsense Performance Monitor that enables you to keep track of your swimming progress.

I have to admit that I never thought that swimming and gadgets will go very well together, but I may be wrong since this Finis clock is pretty cool, if you ask me.

Packed full of motion sensing technologies, the Swimsense automatically detects and records your strokes, the style that you have swum and other info such as the number of laps finished, total distance covered, calories burned or lap time, to name just a few.

Of course that you have to enter a few basic informations first such as the pool size, gender, weight and age, but that's all you will have to do as the Swinsense does the rest of the calculations.

But this clock-like gadget doesn't stop here, since all the data gathered can be downloaded to your computer via a USB connection and then analyzed.

You can do this with the latest 14 swims thanks to a free online workout viewer, while a subscription Training Log is also available if you want to keep track of all your progress.

I am sure that if you are a swimming enthusiast all of this sounds pretty nice to you, but the Swimsense Performance Monitor is not a toy by any means, so don't expect it to come in cheap as this “clock” will set you back a full $199.99 when it arrives during this holiday season.
