A few minutes ago, I was writing about a great Asian PMP that doubled as a console emulator and eBook reader with text-to-voice capabilities. Although ugly, it was fantastic. Now, from the same part of the world comes a pretty “gaming entertainment station” that once again emulates most second generation consoles and also acts as a below-medium grade media player.

It plays games from most 80s consoles such as those from Nintendo, Sega, Neo-Geo or Capcom, plays/records FM Radio, Records voice, acts as a JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG Image Viewer and as an eBook reader. It's MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC compatible and also handles video formats such as FLV, WMV, ASF, RM, AVI, MPEG, MP4, RMVB and SWF.

Basically, it does what a decent emulator/player gadget is supposed to do. It plays your favorite second-generation console games while allowing you to view images and common multimedia formats. It has 4 GB of internal storage space, as well as the possibility of extending its storing capacity with an External Mini SD card.

As for design, it looks like a classic 80s to early 90s device. A “what would have happened if the Nintendo Entertainment System Controller and Game Boy Advance had kids” kind of look. It inherits the NES controller's square shape and (dare I say) palm killing features, while adding a 2.8 QVGA LCD Screen in the middle of the controller.

Other features include an AC Adapter, Mini-USB adapter and Earbuds. I don't know why (be it the Asian origins, the classic aspect or the fact that it has a pretty small screen), but something about this device makes me want to look somewhere else for what I want. In case you want it, you can have it for 65.77 EU.

Just to clarify, the system does not emulate second generation consoles. The system emulates third and fourth generation consoles.
What does this mean?
It means it plays NES, SNES, GENESIS, NEO-GEO, CPS1 and CPS2.
On top of that it also plays GBA games, which is a sixth generation system.
