Though not the first to release iPad dedicated chargers, Griffin Technology will definitely not be the last company to come up with such
products, as these devices are going to spread like mushrooms after the rain in the near future. The desk mounts are also increasing in popularity, as I have already seen a few new items of this type. Not to mention those that showed up before the iPad's official launch in America.
OK, let's see what the desktop mount has to offer first, as it is the gadget in numeric inferiority in this article. The A-Frame, as Griffin has named it, probably draws its name from the A letter-shape that it has when looking at it from a side angle, or perhaps because it has a very simple design, they simply said. "Here's ‘a frame’ for you." This aluminum stand has a minimalistic design that somehow does not impress like other stands
we have seen here before. Besides the landscape/portrait positioning opportunities, this device will also stand down in order for a more stable surface iPad usage. It costs $49.99.
"An elegant user experience has been at the center of our product design from the beginning," said Paul Griffin, founder and CEO of Griffin Technology. "A-Frame continues in this tradition by giving users a beautiful, clever and indispensable base for the iPad experience.”
Next in line are the
two chargers, which have the advantage of being compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch as well. The car charger is called the PowerJolt and the PowerBlock is, by elimination, the one destined to be used at home, in wall mounted plugs. The PowerJolt costs a little less than PowerBlock. The name of the wall charger seems kind of out of place, considering that it is supposed to let electricity into the device, not block it, but maybe that's just my opinion. Griffin's PowerBlock costs $29.99.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is
