This watch right here falls in the high-end section simply because it comes from a company that only manufactures limited edition
time pieces and consists of people truly passionate about watch making.
You can tell this by the way they name their designs. The watch you'll see here is an update to their third model and it is called Horological Machine No 3 Frog, or HM3 Frog for short. It comes with a truly unique design and very high-end specifications, although its name might not lead you into thinking this.
The Frog tag was added because the main designer, Maximilian Büsser, wanted “to bring a child's sense of awe and sense of playfulness into high-end watchmaking”. Though you immediately associate the green color with a frog, the watch also comes with a blue coloring scheme applied for its rotor.
The rotor activates the two domes, which resemble the eyes of a frog and that serve the purpose of showing users the hour and minutes. One of these two domes is the indicator for hour and day/night cycles and the second aluminum dome tells the minutes. The hands of the watch are stationary, but almost all the pieces of the watch are exposed thanks to the open
design.
The whole thing is made out of grade 5 titanium and the rotor is built from 22 K gold. The green rotor version of this will be very exclusive, only 12 models being made. The HM3 Frog has a screwed-down crown and its dimensions are 47 x 50 x 16 mm, without the crown and lugs. It has a total of 304 components out of which 36 are the functional jewels. Its case consists of 53 components. I know you are probably curious about the price, but that is not known yet. Most likely, its tag will be very
exclusive as well. Via
