Without a doubt, Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 push is crucial for the company's future success in the smartphone segment, and for this reason, its hardware partners (namely, phone manufacturers) have done their best in order to come up with handsets that will fully leverage the advantages provided by the new mobile OS, HTC rolling out no less than five such handsets, the HTC 7 Surround, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Pro and HTC HD7.
While we won't go into more details regarding the particular charateristics of the Windows Phone 7 OS right now (we've done that on other occasions), we'll quickly go through all of the features provided by these brand-new phones, which we promise to further detail in some of our future articles.
The first HDC handset we'll talk about is the HTC 7 Surround, that comes equipped with a slide-out speaker and integrated kickstand with integrated Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD, thus helping it deliver high-fidelity audio and virtual surround sound.
Next in line comes the HTC 7 Mozart, that has been crafted from a single piece of anodized aluminum and integrates Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD for high-fidelity, virtual surround sound.
With Microsoft Zune integration, people can synchronize the HTC 7 Mozart with their PC, enabling them to take their music and video library with them wherever they go.
The list continues with the HTC 7 Trophy, designed mostly for gamers, since it comes packed with a high-performance 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and us controlled through the vivid WVGA 3.8” touchscreen.
High-fidelity, virtual surround sound – through SRS WOW HD – brings a rich audio experience whether the user is
playing a game, watching a video or listening to their favorite music.
The HTC 7 Pro has been designed for power users, the handset sliding open and tilting to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard for fast, comfortable typing, while productivity features such as the ability to sort, scan and manage Outlook email, open and edit the latest Office documents on the phone and keep track of the markets with HTC’s stocks application, offer new ways to maximize the business day.
Last, but certainly not least, comes the HTC HD7, packing a huge 4.3” high-resolution screen, while its kickstand allows them to sit back and enjoy the action handsfree.
The five new HTC smartphones will be available through mobile operators and retailers across major European, Asia-Pacific and North American markets from late October, the pricing depending strictly on the carrier of choice.
