Habey has managed to establish itself, over the past couple of years, as a very serious integrator of Intel's Atom CPUs, their latest development being, in fact, an extremely interesting one, since it pairs the Atom Dual Core D510 CPU with NVIDIA ION 2 graphics, the results being nothing short of impressive.
The product in question is the MITX-6564, a low profile mini-ITX board that will provide not only pristine graphics, but also quite a serious amount of computing power on the side.
So, the on board NVIDIA discrete GPU with its dedicated 512 MB DDR3 memory improves the graphic performance by 10 times of integrated graphics, while also adding up to 16 CUDA cores, maximum digital resolution support up to 2560x1600, full 1080p HD video decoding, as well as HDMI and VGA dual monitor support.
The platform also comes packed with the Intel Atom D510 1.66GHz dual core CPU with Hyper-Threading Technology support, as well as 2 x DDR2 SODIMM RAM slots that support up to 4GB of audio, while storage is enabled by 2 x internal SATA II storage units (either HDDs or SSDs).
The solution also comes equipped with S/PDIF, rear audio jacks, front panel pin headers and HDMI digital audio, 2 x Rear USB2.0 ports and 4 x Internal USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet interface and support for WiFi networks via an internal USB module or mini-PCIe.
Habey's mini-ITX mobo provides the required support for Microsoft Windows XP Embedded, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, Linux and Windows Embedded Standard 7 operating systems, and while the board per se is not available for purchase as is, users will be able to get via Amazon one of the company's products featuring it, namely the ENT-6564 Ultra-slim Dual Core Atom D510 Nvidia ION 2 Media Player 2G with DDR2 RAM and 250G Hard Drive, that sells for around 330 US dollars.
