CP-X3010N, to us, just a codename and a pretty uninviting codename at that! To Hitachi, it means a lot more: the CP-X3010N is its latest networked
projector. And a pretty good one at that! Built especially to project your dreams onto the big screen so as to be seen by your friends and family (or colleagues when you are displaying a presentation), this device is indeed worthy of a closer look.
I guess you know the drill by now: first the technical details, then the more important stuff like quotes and opinions. The CP-X3010N has a bulb life rated at 3,000 hours in standard mode; since it has an ECO mode, should you use it, you'll be getting 6,000 hours. The new Hitachi projector features 3,000 lumens of brightness, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and 16W integrated speakers so as to add sound to your presentation.
John Glad, product manager, Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc., Business Group, declared that “With the CP-X3010N being the networkable counterpart to the CP-X3010, Hitachi offers networking options for projectors of all sizes and applications. […] In addition, with a variety of network-related functions proprietary to Hitachi, our networking capabilities are renowned in the industry.”
The projector does not only feature network connection but also PJCtrl, the Hitachi Projector Control Application that allows users to control their projector from a toolbar on their desktop PC or laptop computer. Users can control up to five Hitachi projectors simultaneously, giving enough room for those endowed with immense imagination to work his or her magic.
There's no word on pricing yet but seeing how it features pretty interesting options and is not bad on the specs either, I will keep my fingers crossed on it not jumping out of the Earth's atmosphere.
