I'm pretty sure that even if most of you don't yet own an iPhone 4, the possibility to add not just one, but two extra SIM cards to Apple's handset seems quite exciting, albeit a bit technically-challenging.
However, it seems that the folks over at USB Fever have come up with a solution that will enable users to easily add two extra SIM cards, namely the TRI-SIM Card for
iPhone 4 with BLACK Back Cover, without any significantly tinkering.
The Tri SIM Card for iPhone 4 is in fact an adapted cover, which will allow users to
add more SIMs to the Apple handset without opening it every time they need to do so.
According to USB Fever, this accessory is compatible with the following iPhone 4 firmware versions: 4.0.0, 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, but we're pretty sure that it will be tweaked to work with future versions as well.
After attaching the cards, users will have to go to Home/Settings/Phone/SIM Applications: select your desired SIM Card in order to select the SIM card you want to activate (just one SIM card will be activated at any given moment).
Note once you've selected a different SIM card, the iPhone will display a "No SIM Card installed" message.
From now on, you'll have to wait 1 or 2 minutes (the time required for finding the new SIM card), and during this time, the "No SIM" message will appear in the top right of your iPhone's screen.
After that, the new SIM should be detected and full functionality restored.
Pricing for the TRI-SIM Card for iPhone 4 with BLACK Back Cover has been set at around 40 US dollars, which is pretty OK, by all accounts.
