If you are a pupil or a student, you can't deny the fact that there are a lot of boring classes these days. In fact, you can classify boring classes in two categories: classes that are boring because you have no interest in them (but others do), and classes which are boring by nature and you would be hard pressed to find someone which could be interested in such a course.
Now, if you are a high school pupil, things are somewhat tough, since you can't really do something that shows you are not at all interested in the class, because the teacher will notice you and you might get in trouble. But if you are in college and for some stupid reason you felt like you had to attend a lecture, then you might want to grab at least one multimedia gadget with you. And here's why.
I have found out that no matter how interesting a class might start out, it is bound to become boring after an hour of the teacher blabbering away. And you might find yourself in the middle of a boring class with nothing to do. Now imagine getting out your PSP and starting pounding with Tekken Dark Resurrection. Maybe even find some buddies who have their own PSP and begin some multi-player action. Just be careful not to look too conspicuous.
Of course, I don't have to tell that if you foresee such a scenario, you should sit somewhere in the back of the class. Actually, if you foresee something like this, you're better of sleeping or having fun with some friends and skipping the entire class. But if somehow some voodoo magic took control of you and you did end up in class anyway, at least grab your MP3 player.
People always have their mobile phones with them, and if you have some kind of multimedia monster, than you should know movies, music and games are just a few buttons away. Chatting is always something that can become funny. You can even use Bluetooth-related applications in order to send messages to another friend that has his/her Bluetooth-service enabled. And don't forget that the PSP and all multimedia phones come with integrated Wi-Fi, so you can access the Internet if you have an Access Point near by. Of course, you can also use your phone's 3G or HSDPA service if there's no hotspot and the teacher has bored your brains out. Drastic situations require any kind of measures.
Try remembering to look at the teacher and the black/white board once in a while, otherwise you'll become suspicious. And it is critical that when you do look at the teacher, you make clear eye contact. In this way, you'll make sure that he/she saw you paying attention and, after his gaze moves away from you, you can go right back to whatever you were doing.
Today's technology allows us to easily avoid those boring sessions of totally abstract mathematics and physics (just to give an example), which just a few us truly understand and even fewer know what to actually use them for.
