New tablets seems to be announced almost on a daily basis, most of them coming from companies that I have personally never heard off, IN Media being the latest to promote their “revolutionary” Tablet PC that runs Android 2.1.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against all of these small manufacturers, since the most innovative products usually come from such companies, but when somebody announces what it says will be a “revolutionary” product, while featuring pretty much the same hardware specifications as every other tablet out there and not providing at least a picture of the device, I have to wonder if they will be able to deliver on their promise or not.

Anyway, lets give IN Media the benefit of doubt and move on to what we do know about this future tablet.

Coming in with either a 7-inch or 10-inch display touchscreen, the IN Media Tablet PC will run Android 2.1, is equipped with a front facing webcam, an HDMI out port together with both Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth EDR 2.1 connectivity.

"Consumers can talk on the phone, play games, read ebooks, listen to music, view movies and experience internet content on both the device itself and many external viewing devices.

The touch screen device will allow internet video sharing sites such as YouTube to be viewed anywhere or time.

This is much more than a tablet.

It's a computer, communication device, and entertainment center with an SD storage card good for up to another 32GB," stated IN Media C.E.O. Nick Karnik.

These are indeed bold claims for what seems to be your pretty standard Android tablet device, but if the pricing is good I am sure users will be more then willing to put up with all the marketing hype IN Media tries to create over this.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
