OK, so summer is here, and for this reason, ice-cream sales are really rocketing right now. But how about having something on you that permanently reminds you of a juicy ice-cream, but at the same time, cannot be eaten? Is that torture of what?

Anyhow, it seems that this is exactly what Brando's offering with its new USB Ice Cream Flash Drive series, shaped exactly as some pretty appealing ice-cream cones and available in three different colors, namely Pink, White and Green. And while I'm no ice-cream expert (despite being quite a serious fan), I'd dare to say that the green one probably depicts pistachio-flavored ice-cream, the white one a vanilla-flavored treat, while the pink one...well, no clue here, unfortunately.

Now, let's take a quick look at the list of technical specs these drives can provide. Hence, first and foremost, it's important to mention the fact that these things are available in three mainstream storage capacities, namely 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. Plus, as the large majority of flash drives on the market, these things connect to a host computer via a USB 2.0 interface and can attain a maximum data transfer rate of around 480Mbps.

The flash drives from Brando are compatible with Window XP/Vista, Linux 2.4, MAC OSX operating systems and can be carried around fairly easily, given the fact that they measure 37 x 37 x 77mm, at an approximate weight of around 43 grams.

Pricing for the Brando ice-cream-shaped flash drives depends on the amount of storage they provide. Hence, regardless of their specific colors, the 2GB versions sell for 4 US dollars, the 4GB models for 22 US dollars, while the 8GB flavors for $32, which are some more or less OK price points, especially if you're a very serious ice-cream fan.
