Built especially for all sports enthusiasts, the British Immortals are sunglasses embedding a 3MP camera used to record everything an athlete sees. This way, every skateboarding, skiing, biking, etc. run can be recorded in order for you to watch and examine later on. See where you went wrong, what was the cause of your falls, etc. The Dutch footballer Edgar Davids comes to mind and I can't imagine how cool it would have been to see some footage from his matches, through his eyes.
We couldn't have been able to see a complete match though, since the Immortal video recording eye gear only comes with 4 GB internal storage fitted in the stems, which will last the person filming for about two hours of footage. The promised resolution through their 3 MP camera is of 736 x 480 pixels and the recording speed is 25 frames per second. Pretty cool, especially because they are designed to be used in rugged sports environments. Unfortunately, the official website clearly states that this product is not waterproof.
The British manufacturer asks for $396 for them, according to chipchick and you must know they will come with three pairs of interchangeable lenses in various colors. I have pictured here the dark gray and yellow models and think you'll be able to imagine how the clear lenses look by yourselves.
Though you might be a little skeptical about these glasses' “wearability” because of their bulkier than usual stems, they weigh less than 2.5 oz. (73 grams). Their 2.5-hour autonomy is more than enough, considering the fact that they can record two hours of footage and they will be found under the Immortal Video Eye Gear nickname. They seem like a good solution for recording your runs, compared to the old-fashioned camera in the hat.
