Harman International Industries is releasing a new product under the JBL brand, one which is supposed to provide your favorite music whenever
you wake up next to it. This will be done via its docking station powers, while the waking up part is done by the integrated
alarm clock.
“We’re in an age where mobility and personalization make us feel at home,” says Christopher M. Dragon, Harman’s director of consumer and field marketing. “What better way to wake someone up than with the perfect, rich sound of a favorite song? We’re about making products that not only perform but also add value to your life – and the On Time Micro is one of those small things that we believe helps do this.”
Hopefully, when you listen to music from your iPod via this new docking station from JBL, the sound quality will also be superior, as in the minutes it takes for you to wake up, you might not exactly notice the high quality of your alarm clock. The design is pretty compact and stylish, as you would normally expect from JBL and its phoenix transducers probably help with the frequencies you can hear from the new On Time Micro.
They say it is a hand-friendly device, probably because of the large snooze button on the front, which will allow you to stop the alarm with ease, and that it is compatible with most music playing gadgets out there, as well as with desktop and laptop computers.
Besides the computer optimization, I find the
auxiliary connection a very useful feature. Unfortunately, On Time Micro’s price is a little too spicy for my tastes, as its MSRP is not so micro, at $249. The only two colors you will find it in are black and silver.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is
