JVC Mobile Entertainment has just unveiled its continuous response to the growing demand for built-in HD Radio with the addition of four new in-dash CD receiver models, namely the KD-HDR40, KD-HDR60 and KD-AHD69 for the Arsenal line, as well as the fresh KW-NT3HDT Navigation Receiver.
KW-NT3HDT Navigation Receiver is the one that embeds a built-in HD Radio tuner,
with iTunes tagging and Total Traffic Plus HD Network.
iTunes tagging is the feature that allows you the commodity of tagging a track while you listen to it in car, that transfers the information on the radio to your iPod or iPhone in order to make the track available for purchase the next time you connect you portable device to the computer, while the Total Traffic Plus HD Network brings a free lifetime subscription along with the acquisition of the KW-NT3HDT and displays on-screen real-time traffic updates, as well as current weather conditions locally, sports scores and news headlines. The sports scores is what will matter most,
when you're stuck in the traffic that this thing was supposed to save you from.
Even more, the navigation receiver is Satellite ready, iPod ready, with a front USB for two-way iPod/iPhone controls, aside from MP3 and WMA compliance, Bluetooth-enabled, frontal aux-in, a seven-band iEQ and variable-color illumination display. Available this March, the MSRP for this is $1,199.95.
From what I could find in the press release, I don't see the difference between the rest of the three models, as all of them pack an HD Radio tuner, front auxiliary port, USB 2.0 for two-way iPod and iPhone control, iTunes tagging, Bluetooth, and can play MP3 and WMA. All embed an MOS-FET 50 watts x 4 amplifier, the 7-band iEQ and the variable illumination for the display. All in all, prices are $189.95 for the KD-AHD69, $165.95 for the KD-HDR60, and $129.95 for the KD-HDR40.
