It is encouraging to see that almost everyday someone comes up with an energy production solution.
Even if it is yet another approach to harnessing energy from solar power and delivering to other gadgets. Yes, I am talking about solar charging and I am talking about Solar Components' more powerful solar charger called Joos Orange, boasting 20 to 30 times more energy production than other such devices out there. Let's see how it can do that.
According to the company, the Joos Orange uses a micro-processor controlled system so that it can store and produce more energy, combined with some very own patented circuitry technologies, which permit it to work at full capacity even in low-light conditions. This is a very common problem you can encounter if using
a solar charger indeed, so Solar Components has done very well to try and adapt the Joos Orange to it.
They do not say what
particular charger out there they compared the Joos Orange with, but they say theirs is 20 times more powerful than any other currently on the market, that it is unless you get the optional reflector kit, which will make the Joos Orange 30 times more powerful than what the market currently has to offer to us. This has to be tested, of course, we can't guarantee it is so.
It has a 5,400 mAh replaceable battery pack and is built for true outdoors types of fellows, meaning it is waterproof, shock-proof, crush resistant and has a protective urethane coating that will surely not turn yellow over time. They don't say anything about it turning orange, though. It will be capable of charging a smartphone for up to four times and its battery pack can also be charged via USB, as it has a female mini USB port.
The Joos Orange is, however, not available right now, but you can subscribe for mail notification on the official website.
We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is
