The E165 features a new technology that promises a transmissionless electric motor system that will reach speeds of up to 65 miles (that's about 100 km per hour) and can handle over 100 miles with a standard lithium battery. The name of this technology? It’s Neue.

Christian Okonsky, founder and CEO of KLD Energy Technologies, had a few words to share with us regarding this achievement, “We have received worldwide interest in our motor system and are excited to be offering it to consumers in the U.S. […] We have worked to develop a scooter with a leading manufacturer that highlights our motor systems’ transmissionless design and provides an exhilarating and comfortable experience for both scooter aficionados and those interested in emission-free, high-performance vehicles.”

If you're still wondering about the speed, let me tell you it is pretty OK for a scooter-type bike. You won't be yelling “Take us to Warp, Mister Scotty” but you definitely won't be outrun by a tortoise should you meet one on the road.
