What better way to start the weekend than having to write about a sport I am very keen on, namely paintball, with today's introduction of Kingman's Chaser Paintball marker. Since I am like paintball, I can tell you for sure that Kingman really is known throughout the action sports industry for its patents and breakthroughs regarding paintball
equipment. The Chaser is a 11mm (.43 Caliber) paintball marker that took a little over three years to research and develop by the engineers in the field.
“Less pain, less paint, less price but more fun – the CHASER™ is the first marker to minimize the impact of the paintball, making it easy and fun for men and women of any age to experience the thrill of playing paintball,” said Arthur Chang, chief executive officer of Kingman Training. “Kingman is always looking for new ways to improve the paintball experience, by creating safe play and more fun for adults and teens at an affordable price.”
Keeping
a very good balance between what is affordable, safe and improved gaming was a major concern for the company when it developed the Chaser. What I don't like about this is that it actually uses smaller sized paintballs of .43 Caliber, rather than the common .68 Caliber, but I could understand that since they cause less pain on impact (I remember taking one too many full-sized paintballs in the chest and that was more than unpleasant). Also, that was the way that the Chaser could be designed so lightweight and compact, allowing it for easier movement and providing the versatility of playing probably anywhere you won't have to run from security.
Weighing about 800 grams, the Chaser is as heavy and feels in the hand just as a real hand pistol, but also sports a slide cocking system that resembles that of real pistols. The magazine style loading system can hold 9 paintballs at a time, while the trigger frame can house a 12g CO2 cartridge. Pricing for this is a mere $179.95.
