Without a doubt, the popularity enjoyed by the USB 3.0 (also known as SuperSpeed) technology is on the rise, and if at least half of the products that will arrive on the market are as impressive as the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive we've just tested, then we're pretty sure that this particular brand of products will enjoy a huge level of success on the future.

The storage solution in question is Kingston's first to grant users access to the very high data transfer rates enabled by SuperSpeed USB, provided, of course, they have a system equipped with an USB 3.0 port.

Luckily, more and systems that come equipped with USB 3.0 technology have started to pop up lately, and we're not talking just about desktop PCs here (that was the platform of choice for us), but also about notebooks, Asus' N73Jn being one of the prime examples of such a solution.

Anyway, back to the flash drive from Kingston, we'll have to admit that we were, in fact, a bit “spooked” in the beginning, mostly due to the fact that the storage solution is rather bulky (even thicker than the DT300, which we considered to be one of the largest drives the company had ever come up with), but when we've started to see the data simply “flying by” when copied, we've really changed our mind.

But that's just about enough for the time being, since it's now about time to move to some serious business, namely talking about the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0's overall design features, as well as actual performance.
