As you have pretty much already found out by now, I guess, there's a lot of hype about the recent Core i7 and Core i5 Intel CPUs. Coinciding with Intel's launch is an announcement from Kingston Technology. It seems they are the first to ship 2133MHz memory for the Core i5 Intel platform. The HyperX memory runs a 1.65 volts and is featured in a 4GB dual-channel 2133MHz CL8 kit. Specially designed, of course, with overclocking in mind.

“Intel has worked closely with Kingston on testing HyperX memory for use with the Core i5 platform and P55 chipset,” said Geof Findley, Memory Ecosystem Manager, Intel. “We've seen great results from all of the Kingston memory especially the high-performance dual-channel kits. The combination of Kingston HyperX and Core i5 utilizing the Nehalem architecture brings unsurpassed performance for mainstream and enthusiast users.”

4GB HyperX memory kits running at 1333, 1600, 2000 and 2133 MHz frequencies have already been made available starting with late August, with 8GB kits of two in 1333 and 1600 MHz frequencies soon to be made available (later this month).

"Kingston has worked with our terrific partners including Intel, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI worldwide, to develop a series of memory kits that deliver top-notch performance on some of the finest motherboards being launched this week," said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. "While the 2133MHz modules are engineered for benchmarkers and overclockers, our new 1600MHz frequency is the perfect choice for mainstream users who want to build their own rigs with P55 motherboards and 1156-pin processors."

As for the price range, the highest you can go is 394 USD for the 4GB 2133 HyperX bundle while on the other edge lays a 125USD price for the 4GB 1333MHz HyperX memory. You know, for those of us who do not use cheat codes for unlimited funds!
