It seems that Kodak made some more licensing with Sakar International, which recently introduced a five-component line of Kodak webcams, featuring one-stop, plug-and-play connectivity to almost all the popular instant messaging clients, Voice over IP, social media services and even built-in photo/video management capabilities (in the eventuality that you take pictures at a five-day workshop or for the narcissists that take hundreds of pictures of themselves).

The release of the line-up is scheduled for this fall and includes SKUs with MSRPs between $29.99 and $99.99 for the S100, T130, P310HD, W100 and L200 webcam models. Wait in line and check each out.

The S100 is the first driver-free webcam that will sell under the $30 price point. The T130 features auto focus and will sell for $59.99, while the P310HD is the first webcam that provides a high-definition real 3-megapixel sensor; the W100's highlight is the twin-pack package, so you can share one with your girlfriend or boyfriend. The L200 is a native 2-megapixel autofocus webcamera. Price tags for the last three models have not been mentioned.

All of the above SKUs are system compliant with the PC and Mac alike, simplifying choosing a camera and also retailer stocking, offering users an easy and user-friendly video calling experience. The software bundle provided by Kodak allows you to launch any of Yahoo!, AOL, MSN instant messenger or Skype services and it prides on that, so you don't need to "scour your computer to find and launch YAHOO!, AOL, MSN Instant Messenger or SKYPE services to set up a video call or video IM session."

That's really user demeaning - is there anyone that doesn't know where they installed any of the above, or that is so lazy as to click twice and go through the "hassle" of setting-up a video call? Don't think so.
