Fusing innovation and music to double the fun in the great outdoors and to help explorers stay focused, Kolon integrated the iPod controls into the sleeve making the actions of taking out, hitting a button, or putting back the iPod into the pocket obsolete. This way, the Smart Series jacket is equipped with an inner pocket to tuck away the iPod, while the integrated iPod control sensor allows wearers to enjoy music freely in the wilderness.

The control sensor is a super-thin, smart fabric that is virtually undetectable once integrated and thus ideal for style-conscious explorers. The control pad on the sleeve of the jacket is hooked up with the iPod by a ribbon cable on the inner side of the jacket.

Kolon uses e-textile fabric for iPod control allowing a seamless, soft integration into the jacket. The Smart Series jacket is made from Gore-Tex fabric resulting in a light weight, water resistant and breathable jacket. The use of waterproof zippers give optimum protection to the pockets and for the wearer.

A dedicated iPod pocket has special inner-lining blocking electromagnetic radiation to protect the wearer (for all those concerned about) against electronic-smog. I personally question this feature as the ‘radiation’ of an iPod is very, very little compared with cellphones.

There is no price set yet, but this jacket definitely looks cool. Judging by all of its features, it won't come cheap but it will be worth all the money, most likely.
