LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A. Inc. and Alltel Wireless have just announced the LG 8575 Touch, which is the latest multimedia handset produced by the two companies. This handset is here to bring Dolby Mobile to the users' fingertips. Dolby Mobile is a sound system that
embeds a customizable equalizer, to make sound richer and deliver quality to the user's audio experience.
The sound is transferred smoothly to the exterior through external speakers and the 3.5mm stereo headphones, allowing customers to enjoy their very own personalized playlists wherever they might be. The music player also has an impressive feature called "join the band" that actually turns the handset into a virtual keyboard and thumping drum kit.
"As technology advances, more of our customers are asking for one device that fits all of their communication needs,” said Paul Bowersock, Senior Sales & Operations Leader for the Alltel Divesture Trust. “Now there’s no reason to have a separate MP3 player, camera and wireless phone – with the LG 8575 Touch, customers can have it all in one sleek package.”
The internal memory of the device is 1GB that can take up to 250 songs, besides the
enhanced storage completed by the microSD port, which supports up to 16GB of extra memory, using SHDC. Additionally, the LG 8575 Touch brings FM radio to customers, just in case they're bored with the music that they have stored on the handset. Pricing for this is set at only $19.99 to customers, after a $50 mail-in, and with one-year service contract.
I'll leave you with Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy and marketing for LG Mobile Phones, “LG and Alltel’s effort to raise the bar on sound quality has paid off. Whether you’re listening to music, movies or a voice call, the clarity is remarkable with the feeling of actually being there.”
